Get Hedera Testnet USDC (tUSDC)

This is an unofficial, developer-built faucet created to solve the reliability gaps in the current testnet USDC tooling. It allows you to mint and receive testnet USDC for integration, development, and debugging. You can request up to 1000 tUSDC per day per address.

Step 1 · Connect & import tUSDC

Connect your MetaMask wallet, switch to Hedera testnet, and add the tUSDC token. After importing, you can associate your account so it can receive tUSDC transfers.

Step 2 · Request tUSDC from faucet

Once associated, you can request up to 1000 tUSDC for testing Hedera-based USDC flows.

Step 3 · Send tUSDC to other accounts

After receiving tUSDC, you can test transfers to any EVM address or a Hedera account ID, such as 0.0.7054893.

The receiving account must also be associated with tUSDC.

Import your Hedera testnet account into MetaMask

If you created a testnet account in the Hedera Portal, you can import that same account into MetaMask using the Hex Encoded Private Key.

Go to https://portal.hedera.com/dashboard and sign in.
In the dashboard, switch to Testnet and create a testnet account if you do not have one yet.
Open that account’s details, go to the keys section, and reveal the Hex Encoded Private Key. Copy the full hex string.
In MetaMask, first make sure you are on Hedera Testnet (the “Connect MetaMask” button on this page can add and switch the network for you).
In MetaMask, open the account menu and choose Import account.
Select the Private key import option and paste the Hex Encoded Private Key from the Hedera Portal, then confirm.
MetaMask will create an imported account whose EVM address maps to your Hedera testnet account. You can now use this faucet and MetaMask with the same account ID you see in the Portal.

Go live with real USDC on Hedera

When your integration is stable on testnet with this faucet, you can move to Circle’s native USDC on Hedera mainnet.

1. Use the official Circle USDC tokens

2. Apply for Circle Mint on Hedera

Visit: https://www.circle.com/multi-chain-usdc/hedera
Create or log into your Circle business account.
Complete KYC and compliance approval.
Fund your Circle account with fiat (for example via wire or ACH).
Select USDC on Hedera as the minting network.
Mint USDC to your Hedera mainnet treasury or smart contracts and distribute from there.

3. Use centralized exchanges (CEX) as a funding route

Many teams also let users move USDC from centralized exchanges to Hedera wallets. When exchanges list Hedera as a network for USDC withdrawals, users typically:

Open a CEX such as Binance, OKX, KuCoin, Bybit or similar.
Go to Withdraw → USDC.
Select the Hedera network once it is available in the list.
Paste their Hedera EVM address from HashPack, Blade, or MetaMask (with Hedera RPC).
Confirm the withdrawal and wait for on-chain finality.

In your app, you can show the user’s EVM address with a one-click copy button to reduce mistakes.

4. Connect DeFi and DEX liquidity

Once users hold USDC on Hedera mainnet, they can interact with the DeFi ecosystem:

Use Hedera-native DEXs such as SaucerSwap or Heliswap for swaps and liquidity pools (for example USDC/HBAR or USDC/other HTS tokens).
Provide USDC liquidity to earn trading fees and protocol rewards.
Route swaps through DEX contracts directly from your dApp using their ABIs and addresses.

5. Production checklist

Update token IDs from this demo tUSDC (0.0.7352375) to the official Circle IDs.
Use dedicated production Hedera operator and treasury accounts with secure key storage.
Remove any free minting logic on mainnet. Only Circle Mint, CEX deposits, or tightly controlled admin mints should create USDC.
Apply rate limiting and abuse protection on all production endpoints.
Audit contracts, signing flows, and logging around USDC transfers and swaps.

This faucet is for testnet only. Testnet tUSDC has no real-world value. For real value, always use the official mainnet USDC token 0.0.456858 and follow Circle’s compliance and exchange guidelines.
